Cool Ways to Organize Your Jewelry

Jewelry is an inseparable part of a woman's ensemble. However, with so many jewelry items, one is bound to get frustrated storing them properly! Here are some cool ways to organize your jewelry.
Jewelry is very precious to women - be it expensive, custom-made, precious metal jewelry, or something you picked up from the flea market. More than the material, jewelry is something about being unique and perfect (of course, if you are talking about a platinum necklace, yes it is about the fact that it is an expensive jewelry item).
However, if you are not careful about how to store the jewelry item you have, it can spoil the look of your otherwise lovely piece of jewelry and break your heart in the process. Here are some cool ways for you to organize your jewelry.

Tips to Organize Your Jewelry

I have tried to focus on inexpensive ways to organize jewelry, using things that may be lying around your house itself. That way, you do not have to spend a fortune getting things to organize your jewelry. Here we go!

Bulletin Board

This is one of the easiest ways to organize your necklaces and bracelets. Simply get a notice board fixed in your room. Buy notice board pins and pin them up on the board. Now you can hang your bracelets and necklaces from the pins!
This is one of the best ways to organize necklaces and bracelets for two reasons - one, they will never get entangled; and two, you can see them all at one glance and decide which one will go the best with what you are wearing. A corkboard can also be a good substitute for a notice board.

Pill Box

A pill box could be a good way to organize your earrings. One pair in one small box. Simple. Your pairs will never get mixed up or lost. You will even find them faster. Usually what tends to happen is, if you put all your earrings into a single box, they will rub against each other.
This can make them wear out or lose their polish and/or finish. Sometimes the gems or stones also come off, and it just breaks your heart! So why not try this? However, remember to get a see-through, transparent pill box.

Ice Cube Tray

This could be another way to organize your earrings. You can use an ice cube tray to keep your cheaper earrings (the precious ones can go safely into the pill box), or to organize the ones you use more often. You should be careful about where you place the tray though, otherwise it may fall down and your earrings may scatter all over the floor!
You can get a lid made for the tray so that your jewelry does not fall out of it. You can use the lid of an old box, carton or some such thing. Alternatively, use a plastic wrap.

Wall-mounted Key Holder

This is another way to organize your necklaces and bracelets. Get a key holder with several hooks and hang your necklaces and bracelets on the hooks. The best part about this is it is durable and can carry more weight that the notice board pins can sustain. So even your heavy necklaces can hang safely on it. If you want you can even make one in your garage yourself - a simple wooden frame with just as many hooks as you need.

Mug Tree

The best part about using a mug tree to organize your bracelets, anklets and necklaces is that it is very compact. You can simply place the mug tree on your dressing table, or anywhere you want.
The only problem with a mug tree could be that the rods on which you are supposed to hang the mugs may not be suitably spaced out, so that when you hang necklaces on it, they tend to get entangled. Hence it is best to use a mug tree to organize bracelets and anklets.

Crochet Hanger

If you are fond of knitting, this idea will appeal to you. You can knit a square crochet piece and stitch it onto a clothes hanger. Now, simply hang this clothes hanger wherever you want. You can organize your earrings on a crochet hanger.
All kinds of earrings can go into a crochet hanger - ear hook earrings, studs, all of them! The advantage of a crochet hanger is that - all your earrings are in front of you, so you can see them all at a glance and pick the one you want to wear.

Finally...

... if you want to really go down hook, line and sinker, and if you are willing to spend some quality time in the garage workshop, you could make a jewelry organizer all by yourself. It is not so difficult. You might need a bit of help from your friends, and a lot of time!
But trust me, this one is going to look fabulous on your wall! Plus, it will be totally personalized and custom-made. Why don't you give it a try?
One thing I would like to advice is - first take into account the types of jewelry items you have in your collection. Then you can go about organizing your jewelry. This will make sure that none of your jewelry items are left out, and that you have a designated place for each of them. All the best!
