If you are getting ready for prom, you may be wondering what to do to make sure that you are looking beautiful and feeling good all night long. Here are some tips to make sure that your prom is the ultimate high school experience.

Find Your Dress Early

Once you know that you are going to prom, it is important to pick out your dress as early as possible. You can do this with a group of your friends, or by shopping with your parents.
When selecting a dress, consider what is in fashion currently, but also factors like what type of body you have and what colors look best with your hair color and skin complexion. There are a huge amount of options to choose from, so have an idea of what kind of dress you are looking for before you enter the store.
That way, you can narrow down the process to dresses that you can see yourself in. Additionally, you should also set a budget and stick to it.

Treat Your Hair

Your prom look deserves a hair style that is above average. There are many ways that you can upgrade your hair for your big night, including hiring a professional hair stylist, or even investing in hair therapy to make sure it looks its best.
If you want to have a beautiful hair style and save money at the same time, consider getting your hair done at a beauty school. You will still get the style you want, but because the stylists are still in training, you will be able to get it at a significant discount.
Make sure to have a style that will not get in the way while you are dancing, and will be able to hold all night long.

Reserve a Corsage

Corsages are another prom dance essential that go quickly during April, May, and June, when many high schools are holding their proms. Be sure to reserve your corsage with a local florist, and also make sure that it matches your dress and your date's outfit as well.
If you do not want a simple florist corsage, you can get extra creative, get your own materials, and make a unique corsage that reflects things that you love or are interested in. For example, you can use a snack that you love, or the pages from one of your favorite books. The possibilities are endless.

Wear Long Lasting Makeup

When you go to prom, you will be dancing, eating, and sweating for several hours. It is a good idea to use makeup that is guaranteed to hold up through all of these, so that you do not need to reapply. Many companies market lipsticks and glosses that are guaranteed to last for twelve to twenty-four hours.
For the rest of your makeup, such as eyes, cheeks, and skin, you should use a simple setting spray after you finish your makeup regimen. You can also visit a cosmetologist who is guaranteed to give you a look that will last you the night and will highlight your best facial features.

Eat Before You Go

Even if there are snacks being served at your prom dance, it is still best to have a meal before you leave for the dance. You can either go to a restaurant with your group, or eat at home. You will be burning a good deal of calories while dancing and socializing, so load up on healthy foods and calories.
Try not to eat greasy and heavy foods that will make you feel not so great. It is no fun to have to sit out a dance because your stomach is on the rocks. Be sure to not eat anything messy that may ruin your outfit.
With these tips and tricks, you are sure to have the best time at prom, and make memories that are guaranteed to last you a lifetime.
